Dedication to our Communites
Warren FCU is committed to improving the financial well-being of the communities we serve, especially those underserved by mainstream financial institutions. We do this by providing competitively priced financial services, actively offering financial education assistance to members and community organizations, and supporting the political process through community involvement.
At Warren FCU, “it’s not a bank” is more than just a slogan. When members join our credit union, we ask for a $10 deposit. Of that $10 deposit, $5 secures membership in Warren FCU, the remaining $5 is donated to assist the community. Warren FCU then matches every donation and the funds are gifted directly to worthy charities and financial education projects.
The Warren FCU Foundation allows us to expand our reach into the community and provide a tax-free vehicle for our members to be part of helping the community. Warren FCU will gladly accept any donations by our members.
We encourage our employees to volunteer for various community improvement activities and charitable events ─ benefiting under-served families, at-risk youth, and other worthy causes.
Warren FCU Foundation
We we like to take our community outreach and financial education efforts to the next level, we launched a 501(c)(3) corporation ─ the Warren Federal Credit Union Foundation. It provides the ability to raise significant amounts of money, beyond our membership, to broaden assistance to local communities and organizations. The Foundation’s goal is to increase financial education in the region so that under-served segments of our communities will show measurable economic growth.
To raise funds, the Foundation relies on donations from Warren FCU members. The Foundation is overseen by its own Board of Directors comprised of Warren FCU executives and current members of the Warren FCU. They meet twice a year or when needed to determine strategic process and direction, and approve the one to two nonprofit organizations within each Warren FCU branch community selected each year to receive monetary support, financial education and volunteer assistance.
